We checked in on Saturday at 5pm and paid the full resort fee and $100 for incidentals. Now how our stay went and why we left after only 3 days. The grounds are unkept with trash everywhere and lighting in a lot of areas is not working or non existent, non working fountains, broken benches, and debris from the remodeling being dumped on the side of the rear parking lot. The areas being remodeled are being done as cheap as possible and it shows. The resort itself is in horrible shape with damage inside and out. And there so called buffet only has five entrée options for $26 a person. They wanted $40 for a large frozen pizza 12 frozen wings and six frozen garlic knots from the so called pizza parlor. Do not waste your money on the food options at the resort. If they have a Jewish event on site be prepared to do something outside the resort as they are VIP and take over everything. The roads in the resort are like the surface of the moon so drive slow and dodge the holes if you can. The UGLY truth - Almost everything is broken or coming soon. The signage is wrong or none existent in a lot of areas and it is easy to get lost. The resort itself is being renovated but is large and in very bad shape. Even the ATM machine was broken and out of order. The water park, The bowling alley, The arcade which had the majority of the machines broken and out of order. All other activities had fees attached to them. The area they have available is completely covered in vegetation (lily pads and sea weed) that I watched a plastic bag tumble across it like a tumbleweed. They don't let you fish the lagoon and the docks are private property. Fishing on the resorts beach (were you will need a PA license) is none existent. If you want to go Fishing they have a small pond on site and its free. The lazer tag while available had no type of designated play area except a big empty ball room. The pool and Ping-Pong tables looked functional but we didn't even try them. The movie theater had no concessions and smelled of mold. The greens were pealing up from the ground as well as the tee pads, signage was missing or broken, certain holes were unplayable due to broken tubes and the sand traps were empty of sand and the only water traps that had water were the ones that the drains were clogged and had dirty rain water from the night before. The mini golf outside was in very bad shape. The fitness center had only 1 working treadmill and smelled of mold as well as having part of the ceiling collapsed due to a leak. 1 outdoor pool was filthy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks as well as no towels provided here. 1 indoor pool looked clean and had towels available but the chlorine smell and the mold smell from the carpet in the pool area is overpowering. These are supposed to be the things your amenities fee pays for. The amenities that they charge you for ($21.20 per day for a studio room) are mostly non existent. Every ice machine we could find was out of order and the soda and snack machines were sold out or not working at all. If you are short be careful as the tub is about a foot and a half above floor level and if you are tall the toilet is basically on the floor. The room while recently remodeled had water damage in the walls and ceiling and the bed was as hard as the floor. 8/14/21-8/21/21 We left on 8/17/21 due to this being the worst vacation ever!!!!!! John 11 and the following chapter of John 12 act like a literary bridge between Jesus’ ministry with others and his own final demonstration that God indeed provides eternal life. There are seven signs, and the story of Lazarus illustrates the final one: the resurrection and the life. You may recall that the ‘miracles’ or healings referred to in the other gospels are called ‘ signs’ in John’s Gospel. (The synoptic Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke also contain a story of Jesus’ raising the dead, but in those three cases it is Jairus’ daughter ( Matt. (If you’re studying a Biblical book with friends in a Bible Study group, or on your own, one of the joys is reading chapter by chapter and finding inspiration in why a certain story appears where it does.) In the case of the Gospel of John, this story of the raising of Lazarus serves as a catalyst leading up to Jesus’ own death and resurrection. Ok, so you found it was Chapter 11, the approximate halfway point in John’s 21 chapters. You’ll probably want to get your Bible and look it up. So why was the Lazarus story so key for early Christians and what can we learn from this? And if it was so impactful, why did Lazarus’ rising appear only in John’s Gospel? Is there a role the Lazarus story plays for John that sheds light on the rest of the Gospel of John? These are the kinds of questions that cause us to don our spiritual detective hats and result in fresh inspiration to even the most familiar of stories.īecause John’s Gospel, like the others, is told in chronological order, paying attention to where the Lazarus story appears in relation to the whole, makes sense. After all, the paintings of Mary and the baby Jesus predominate, along with those of the crucifixion and resurrection. Maybe this doesn’t match your own experience of looking at Christian religious art in the world’s great museums. Perhaps all these artistic renderings of Lazarus’ emergence from his tomb three days after his burial are the reason behind historians’ belief that the raising of Jesus’ good friend, made a deeper impression on early Christians than almost any other New Testament text. COLLIDED (Dirty Air Series Standalone Book 2) by Lauren Asher is LIVE! Thank you so much to Lauren Asher for providing me with a copy of Collided, I love it! Click the cover below to buy on Amazon now or read for FREE on Kindle Unlimited! I can’t wait for the next book back into this world! A must read! It was filled with fun, steam and so much love in the end. The ending and epilogue were perfect, the new list made me so happy and I am desperate for a next generation of these F1 drivers after the rest of the series is out.Ĭollided is such a fun read, watching Sophie and Liam navigate all the twists and turns in the road to their HEA. Lauren’s ability to make you feel like you are in any city in the world is one of the standout things for this series for me. Lauren Asher has such a way of writing, it pulls you in and you feel like you are travelling the F1 circuit around the globe with them, I loved the description of all the cities and the behind the scenes of race day. You don’t have to have read Throttled before Collided, but I’d recommend it to get the full reading experience. It was great to see Noah and Maya again, and see how their relationship played out from others’ points of view, as it occurs along the same timeline. As they tick off each item on her list, they become closer and closer until they have no choice but to give in. Her list was genius and such a fun aspect of the plot, it solidified their friendship before it turned to more. But throughout the F1 season and her time with Liam, she learnt to stand up for herself and follow her own wants, to truly be happy. She was kind and caring to everyone, but was so afraid to disappoint her father, that she put her own dreams and feelings second to his. I also loved his secret nerd side, how he’d quote films and literature, it made him so much more attractive. Watching him come to terms with his feelings for Sophie was amazing, although I do wish he had made a decision sooner and not waited. He keeps everyone at arm’s length so he can prevent his heart from being broken again, after a horrible event in his past. Liam puts up this façade to the world of a playboy womanising jerk, but underneath that’s not the case. From Throttled, I knew I would fall in love with Sophie and Liam, and I was so interested to see why they were the way they were. I absolutely love all the characters my favourite kind of series is when the books are all interconnected, and you see the characters throughout all the books. What happens when feelings get caught? And when other people try to intervene in their relationship, will Sophie and Liam be finally ready to admit what they’ve felt all along? Liam, as resident playboy chooses this as a reason to push for their relationship to go from friends to more, as long as there are no feelings involved. The list includes a wide variety of things, some PG, some not so PG. They spend time together, joking and getting to know one another, especially when Liam finds Sophie’s f*ck-it list of things she wants to achieve by the end of the F1 season. Their attraction is there from the start but due to multiple circumstances, including Liam’s contract with his team coming to an end, they decide to be just friends. She runs into Liam, world champion F1 driver for rival team McCoy, who she briefly met years ago. Sophie, daughter of F1 team Bandini’s principal arrives on the F1 circuit for the summer. Throughout Throttled, Liam and Sophie’s friendship is hinted and you can see that attraction between them, so I was already intrigued by their story. As today is Collided’s release day, my main review will be of Collided, but scroll down to the bottom to see my review for Throttled, because I have to show Maya and Noah some love too! Collided (Dirty Air #2) – Lauren Asher ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Ĭollided is the perfect friends-to-more romance, which is even more unique thanks to the setting and characters which pull you in from the start. All the books are interconnected standalones which can be read in any order but I have read both Throttled (Dirty Air Series #1) and Collided (Dirty Air Series #2) one after the other, and I think that gave me the best reading experience. The Dirty Air series is so amazing, it’s such a refreshing take on a sports romance, with each book revolving around a different F1 racing driver.
